Biography


After searches in the city of Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod region, Oksana Mikholap and her husband Andrey ended up in jail. The couple were prosecuted for their faith in the God Jehovah.


Oksana was born in July 1974 in the city of Berdichev (Ukraine). She has two younger brothers, one of whom died at the age of 30. When Oksana was still a child, their parents divorced. The mother works in the trade.


After graduating from pedagogical college, Oksana worked in a correctional class. She actively participated in the lives of her students, visiting them at home. This contributed to the fact that all of them successfully graduated from school. Later, Oksana graduated from the pedagogical Institute and worked for a while by profession. Then she worked at an employment center, as well as as an administrator at a private clinic. Before her arrest, she worked as a clerk in a construction company. Oksana has earned a reputation as a responsible and conscientious employee and has always been in good standing with employers.


In 1993, Oksana married Andrey, who worked as a driver. They have been happily married for more than 30 years.


Oksana was a religious person, looking for answers to life's questions. Together with her husband, they began to study the Bible. Having received answers to their questions, in 1999 they embarked on the Christian path.


In her free time, Oksana likes to knit, grow flowers, and take care of animals, including homeless ones. Together with her husband, they like to take care of the garden and invite guests to their house.


Due to criminal prosecution and detention in jail, Oksana lost the opportunity to help her elderly parents. The neighbors do not understand why the Miholap spouses are being unfairly persecuted. Many people know them as people who are always ready to help and do not conflict with anyone.
