On April 2, 2024, 66-year-old Jehovah's Witness Valery Bailo was detained in the village of Kholmskaya in the Krasnodar Territory. According to preliminary data, his apartment was searched.


Two days later, the Abinsk district court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for the believer. He is currently in pre-trial detention center No. 3 in Novorossiysk.


Earlier, Valery Bailo was a witness in the criminal case of Alexander Ivshin, who is already serving a sentence for faith in the colony.
