HISTORICAL RECOGNITION FOR SISTER SIMONE ARNOLD LIEBSTER


 The President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Mr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier, awarded sister Simone Arnold-Liebster the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany as a sign of gratitude for her commitment to preserving and passing on the memory of the tyranny of the National Socialists .  The award rightly recognizes their remarkable commitment.


 The German Consul General, Thomas Pröpstl, will hand over the insignia on 15 December 2023 during a ceremony at Candie Castle, F-73000 Chambery.


 Sister Liebster is a survivor of Nazi persecution.  Her experience can be read in Awake!  of 22 September 1993, pages 15-19.
