In his last word, the believer expressed gratitude to the participants of the trial and said: "I consider myself completely innocent! I don't regret dedicating my life to Jehovah and trying to live the way he expects of me."

Dear court and participants of the process! I want to start my speech with words of gratitude. I am grateful to investigator M. A. Korzunova for her humanity and trust, which I saw, for example, in the fact that she gave me the opportunity to go on vacation during the investigation. I am grateful to the court for the careful consideration of the case, for the opportunity to defend myself and for respect for the dignity of each participant in the process. And for trying to pronounce the name of God — Jehovah — correctly. And also for the fact that I could travel during the judicial review, which was an additional source of joy for me during this difficult time.


During the entire period of investigation and consideration of the case, I saw firsthand how the principle works: "Do to other people as you want them to do to you" (Matthew 7:12). These are the words of Jesus Christ, which he uttered during the Sermon on the Mount and which are relevant to this day. Jehovah's Witnesses as Christians try to apply them in their lives and see good fruits. So, I was pleased to see how people's attitude towards us, the defendants, is changing while communicating with us.


I am grateful to my friends — Sergey, Oleg, Svetlana — who are with me in this hall today, because they were a good team and support for me.


I would like to express my gratitude to the lawyers for the fact that they have been united in defending our rights for a long time, although it was not easy.


Also, many thanks to the support group, parents, relatives, friends who try to be at every meeting. This is very pleasant and very important.


With regard to my accusation, I will only say that I consider myself completely innocent! I still don't understand why the prosecutor wants to punish me and what I need to become after 3 years and 10 months of imprisonment in a penal colony, but I know exactly what kind of person I want to remain.


I do not regret that I devoted my life to Jehovah and try to live as he expects of me, I do not regret that, acting in accordance with my conscience and beliefs, for two years I passed alternative civil service, allowed to me by the Constitution of the Russian Federation, I do not regret that I was with with his friends and shared joyful moments with them during the festive event in the Order store.


Therefore, with a clear conscience, I ask you, Your Honor, to acquit me.
