From the courtroom

In his last word , the defendant firmly stated: "I want to continue to share the good news about the earthly paradise, wherever I find myself. I wish to continue to comfort the mourners and rejoice with those who rejoice. I want to continue to love God with all my heart and my neighbor as myself."

Transcript of the court session in the Leninsky District Court of Nizhny Novgorod dated 04/21/2023 in the case 1-3/2023 on charges of Malianov Sergey Ivanovich and others. in committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

Malianov Sergey Ivanovich:

Dear Court, first of all I want to thank all the participants in this trial, starting with Senior investigator O. V. Makerov, M. A. Korzunova, who showed restraint and self-control, as well as treated me with respect and understanding during the investigation. Thank you, Your Honor, for the calm and working atmosphere throughout the process. It was nice when you, solving organizational issues, for example, the presence or exit of listeners from the courtroom, turned to the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation, and, voicing it, were guided by what is right and honest. When a judge relies on the law, it evokes respect and calmness. Many thanks to the state prosecutor for the correct questions and the normal human attitude towards me. Thank you to the respected lawyers who together with us have passed the marathon of the trial with honor. You managed to overcome morning traffic jams and find a place in your busy schedule for the next meeting.

Thank you so much, my dear friends. Despite the cold, snow, rain, heat and other bad weather, you have been coming for support and encouragement for more than a year. I also thank everyone who prayed and continues to pray, worrying about the outcome of the process. Of course, I thank Oleg, Roman and daughter Sveta for the close ties of love and friendship.

God Jehovah helped me raise such a daughter, who, being with me in the dock, remains faithful and devoted to Him no matter what! For any God-fearing father, this is happiness. And I'm proud of you, Sveta! And I also want to mention my 86-year-old mother, who has a disability, and she is very worried about me and Sveta and what will happen after the court decision. She, like me and all my friends, want to remain faithful to Jehovah God!

I wasn't a believer before. The atheistic education and upbringing given to me during the Soviet years, as well as professional sports and later work in show business, left no room for dreams. Success, cups, prizes, tours — all this taught me to think about myself, to cultivate a competitive spirit, a thirst for victory and glory. But, achieving another victory, after the fanfare, flowers and medals, I felt the emptiness and vanity of all this multicolored "tinsel". As I got older, I began to have more and more questions: what is the meaning of life? why do misfortunes happen to good people? why is there so much injustice around? if all people want peace, then why are there so many wars? what will happen to our planet in the future? It is quite natural to ask such questions, even for me, an atheist, who I used to be. It's great and nice that I found logical and convincing answers in the Bible.

Moreover, it turned out later that in this holy book from God there are practical tips for all occasions, and they always work. It tells you how to cope with stress, how to love your job and how to make your family friendly and happy. The Bible can be compared to a bright lantern. The lantern allows you to see what is under your feet and illuminates the path ahead. In the same way, the Bible helps us make good decisions and see what awaits us in the future. "Your word is a lamp to my foot and a light to my path," Psalm 118 says.

Another aspect that convinced me of the reliability and reliability of the Bible is the prophecies about the future, which inspire hope and help to cope with the hardships of life. In the book of the prophet Isaiah there are words that delight my heart: "People will build houses and live in them, they will plant vineyards and eat their fruits. It will not be so that they will build, but others will live… My chosen ones will enjoy all the fruits of their labor, will not work in vain and give birth to children on the mountain."

As for my accusation, I still consider myself innocent. Moreover, I am glad that we had such a fun, interesting and memorable concert. Such a three-hour program would decorate any creative evening and is worthy of a long successful tour for children and adults. And laughter, fun and festive mood are the best indicator of success.

I want to continue to share the good news about the earthly paradise, wherever I find myself. I wish to continue to comfort the mourners and rejoice with those who rejoice. I want to continue to love God with all my heart and my neighbor as myself.

As for my accusation, I ask you to acquit me!
