In her last word, Yelena Yatsyk said that the biblical principles helped her to save her marriage. So she decided to tell others about them. She stated: "In my thoughts and actions, there was never any intention to harm anyone."

Your Honor, I want to thank you for your patience and understanding shown to us. I want to tell you a little about myself. I was born in the city of Zea in 1972. Like everyone else, I went to kindergarten, to school, got a profession. She got married, gave birth to a daughter, raised her as a decent person.


When I decided to get married, I had little biblical knowledge. In my marriage, my husband and I had problems and disagreements. We almost got divorced a few times. Wanting to save my family, I turned to the Bible for advice. There I found the answers to all my questions. I sincerely asked God for help and applied biblical principles. Especially the words about love helped me: "Love is patient and kind. Love does not envy and does not boast, it is not proud, does not behave indecently, does not act selfishly, does not get annoyed, does not count insults, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices in the truth, endures everything, believes everything, never loses hope, endures everything steadfastly. Love will always exist," or in another translation: "love will never fail" (1 Corinthians 13:4-8). It was thanks to the application of biblical principles and the manifestation of such Christian qualities as patience and love that my husband and I lived together for 29 years. Having seen from my personal experience what benefits the Bible brings, I decided to share the knowledge from this book with other people.


And if everything is calm in my family now, then the situation in the world is heating up every day. Why is this happening? The Bible gives a clear, clear answer that we are living in the last days of this world. All the signs are there: wars, famine, earthquakes, epidemics, crime, moral degradation, and so on. But there is also good news: when the last days are over, people will live in paradise on earth. The Bible records the words of Jesus Christ: "The glad tidings of the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole earth, so that all nations will hear it, and then the end will come" (Matthew 24:14). This means that Jehovah God, with the help of his Kingdom, i.e. the government under the leadership of Jesus Christ, will eliminate disease, old age, death, resurrect the dead and return perfection and eternal life to people. As a Christian, I have been fulfilling this command of our Lord Jesus Christ, and therefore I have been bringing people the joyful news of a new world for 26 years. Unfortunately, many do not take this seriously, but the disbelief of the majority does not mean that it is not true.


At the moment I am being prosecuted for "extremism", but in my thoughts and actions there was never any intention to harm anyone. My guilt has not been proven in court. There was not a single victim of my actions.


I am 51 years old, and during this time I have never broken the law. I am not a danger to the state, to the authorities, or to others. I do not consider myself guilty and I do not intend to renounce my religious beliefs. I am sure that I have the right to continue practicing my chosen religion. Being a Jehovah's Witness, I don't consider myself a criminal. This right is guaranteed to me by Article 28 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation. In this regard, I ask the court to acquit me.
