What Bible account has helped you to strengthen your faith in Jehovah?

Reading 1 Samuel chapter 17 and meditating on it helps me. David had the courage to fight Goliath because he remembered how Jehovah had helped him in the past. In verse 37, he said: “Jehovah, who rescued me from the claws of the lion and the bear, he is the one who will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.” When the investigator threatened me with ten years in prison, I initially felt afraid and uncertain. But then I began flipping through my mental photo album of experiences with Jehovah, and those memories strengthened my faith in him. Jehovah has never allowed anything to happen to me that I could not bear. I know he is always in control.

 Aleksandr Sobyanin

 Born: 1973 (Krasnovishersk, Perm Territory)

Biography: Works as a blacksmith. As a young person, wondered why humans die. Was happy to learn about the hope of eternal life found in the Bible. Baptized in 1992

What has helped you to maintain your confidence in Jehovah?

When I face moments of doubt, I remind myself of what Jehovah said to Jacob at Genesis 31:12: “I have seen all that Laban is doing to you.” Jehovah assured Jacob that He was paying attention, was with him, and was protecting him. I know Jehovah is doing the same for me. When I feel like I have no strength left, he never fails to give me the support I need to endure. Each challenge that I face teaches me the same lesson: Jehovah always helps!

 Vladimir Timoshkin a

 Born: 1968 (Solikamsk)

Biography: Performs diagnostic testing on heating and cooling equipment

Initially studied the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses to prove that their teachings were inaccurate. Was soon convinced he was being taught the truth. Baptized in 1997

We are confident that all who continue to put their trust in Jehovah will experience the blessings of his loyal love.—Psalm 13:5, 6.
