Biography


In May 2023, a search was carried out in the house of Ulita and Sergey Sachnev, because of which the elderly spouses experienced stress. Because of their beliefs, they became defendants in a criminal case on extremism.


Ulita was born in August 1954 in the Khabarovsk Territory. She has two younger brothers. She received a secondary technical education. She worked as an elevator operator and house painter at a construction site, then retired. In her free time, she loved to read books, and now her main hobby is gardening.


In 1977, at work, Ulita met her future husband, Sergei. He worked as a driver and loved to fish. Together they raised two sons.


At different periods of her life, Ulita lived in Khabarovsk, Komsomolsk-on-Amur and the village of Khurba (Khabarovsk Territory), where the couple moved to take care of her mother.


In 1999, having made sure that Bible prophecies were being fulfilled, Julitta embarked on the Christian path.


The children of the Sachnevs empathize with their parents who were subjected to criminal prosecution for their faith.


Brief history of the case


In May 2023, civilians in the city of Komsomolsk-on-Amur, as well as the village of Khurba and the village of Molodezhny, were subjected to night searches because of their religion. The Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Khabarovsk Territory and the Jewish Autonomous Region opened a criminal case against 8 believers - Vasily and Irina Bondarev, Sergey and Ulita Sachnev, Nikolai Kovadnev, Ivan Nikitin, Mikhail Dorofeev, Radion Shitov, Marina Voitko and Svetlana Zharkova. They are charged with involvement in the activities of a banned organization.
